Arrowhead Lakes is a nine-hole layout in the Galena area, well on its way to becoming a mature course. The course has a bit of Scottish flavor, with a lot of rolling contours and wide open spaces. It was designed specifically for play by leagues and couples. The teaching facilities at Arrowhead Lakes are among the best anywhere on a public course, with two practice sand traps as well as a driving range.

Bent Tree is easily among the top ten public courses in Central Ohio. It is a first-rate 18-hole golf course in immaculate condition with plenty of sand traps, among the best kept and most playable traps anywhere in the region. The club spaces out tee times so you are never bothered by other golfers.

Big Walnut Country Club

Big Walnut is a small, executive length nine-hole course five miles north of Sunbury. This course is carved out of the countryside with a charm of its own that draws you back. Anyone who can swing a club, young or old is welcome to play.

Blackhawk Golf Club

Built in 1964, Blackhawk isnow a mature 18-hole golf course-and one of the finest public clubs in the area. It is near perfect from course layout to maintenance to pro shop to teaching. The landscaping is outstanding which magnifies and glorifies the natural beauty of the terrain.

Hidden Valley Golf Course

If you are just beginning to learn golf, Hidden Valley is the place to go. Owned and operated by the city of Delaware, this is an ideal 9-hole golf facility for beginners, juniors, and seniors. It's an easy course to walk but par is still something that must be earned. There are plenty of sand traps, creeks, and other obstacles to make this short layout a challenge in its own right.

Mill Creek is a relatively flat 18-hole course with medium sized greens that are carefully placed so that an accurate approach shot is rewarded. The course features a remodeled clubhouse and an unusually well stocked pro shop. This is a good course for people who enjoy golf but prefer to dominate the course more often than letting the course dominate them.

Royal American Links

This 18-hole public golf course is a challenging one to score well on, primarily due to the immense amount of water to be avoided. Royal American boasts some of the finest practice facilities in the area, with two practice sand traps, a chipping green, and a driving range. There is also a full restaurant.

Safari Golf Club

Safari is part of the zoo entertainment complex, featuring the zoo itself, the amusement park, and the golf course. The 18-hole layout is essentially wide open, but there are a lot of trees lining the fairways. It has a nice driving range and the pro shop and clubhouse are first rate. You will be pleasantly surprised with this course.

The well-designed 18-hole course at Shamrock is a good test of golf skills, with enough variety to make your outing fun no matter what you score. The clubhouse conveys a country club feel to what is a public golf course, and the pro shop is first-rate. Shamrock is an excellent place to take a lesson, whether you are a junior or adult golfer.

Tanglewood is a favorite course for many people. There are many holes in this layout that combine beauty with challenge to make you want to come back and play it again. Tanglewood is fairly flat, but what it lacks in hills it compensates for with water, trees, and length making it a fun 18-hole course to play.

The relatively short nine-hole layout is a good course for beginners and intermediates with plenty of challenge and golfing pleasure. Twin Oaks is a "no frills" golf course with a nice layout. There is a practice green, but no driving range.

Dornoch has been transformed into an 18-hole course with the aid of PGA Tour pro Fuzzy Zoeller and internationally renowned architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan. The course emphasizes the sites's natural resources and is complete with practice facilities. Perfect for all playing abilities.

Double Eagle Club

Double Eagle is a privately owned course designed by pro golfer Tom Weiskopf. There are a mix of wooded and open holes with wide fairways making it a fun and strategic course to play. This is a jewel of a golf course rated in the top 100 by Golf Digest. Double Eagle's philosophy: "To enjoy the game of golf in near perfect surroundings."

The Lakes Golf and Country Club

Built in Westerville in 1990, The Lakes Club was designed by Senior PGA Tour player Ed Sneed, who did his college time at Ohio State University. The Lakes plays host to the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifer each year directly after the end of the Memorial Tournament.

Many regard the course at The Medallion Club as among the best in the area. It has a wide variety of holes. This 27-hole layout was designed by Nicklaus's son Jackie and David Savic.

Muirfield Village Golf Club

Built in the suburbs of his hometown of Columbus, Muirfield Village was Jack Nicklaus's first complete effort as a golf architect and is named after the famous Scottish course where he captured his first British Open championship in 1966. Laid out on rolling, wooded terrain dotted by natual streams, the course is especially noteworthy for its complete visibility of the target areas and all surrounding hazards, as well as the number of truly outstanding holes it contains. This is the setting for Nicklaus's own Memorial Tournament and is one of the top-rated courses in the country.
