| Electricity |

| American Electric
Power is the major supplier of electricity in Delaware County.
AEP provides the majority of the electric service to the residential
and business customers in the southern half of the county,
including the City of Delaware and Orange Township. The power
is supplied though two 138KV lines to the county, and AEP
has numerous substations in Delaware County. American Electric
Power has a very active economic development division, and
has a strong history of service and assistance with the business
community in Delaware County. Two other providers, Consolidated
Electric Cooperative and Dayton Power and Light, service the
more rural areas in the northern half of the county. |

| Natural
Gas |
|
| The major natural gas supplier in
Delaware County is Columbia Gas of Ohio with a main feed size of
10" high pressure. Columbia Gas is a valuable partner in the
countys economic development efforts. Additionally, Suburban
Natural Gas Company provides natural gas to parts of Delaware County. |

| Telephone |
|
| Three carriers within the borders
of Delaware County provide telephone service. GTE has the
largest service area in the county, with its region extending
from the northern border of the county south to Powell Road.
GTE offers a wide spectrum of services for its business clients,
including network consultation and data services. Ameritech
provides service to the county from Powell Road to the southern
border, including the Polaris Commerce Park. Ameritech provides
a wide variety of telecommunications services to its business
customers. Finally, Sprint provides the telephone service
to the Village of Sunbury area. |

| Wastewater |
|
| Delaware County has three
operating wastewater treatment facilities, and one more under construction.
The largest operating facility is the Delaware County Olentangy
Environmental Control Center, servicing the southern end of Delaware
County. This facility has a two-stage aeration treatment process
and the capacity to handle 6 million gallons per day. The plant
currently under construction is the Delaware County Alum Creek Wastewater
Reclamation Facility. This facility will be a two-stage aeration
treatment plant with a 10 million gallons per day capacity, and
will serve the southern end of Delaware County. The City of Delaware
has a tertiary system for its Sewage Treatment Plant with a capacity
of 5.5 million gallons per day. The Sunbury Treatment Plant provides
service to the Village of Sunbury through an aeration treatment
at a rate of .5 million gallons per day. |

| Water
In Delaware County, the City
of Delaware and Village of Sunbury have their own respective
water systems. The City of Delaware has two elevated tanks
connected to its treatment plant to provide water for the
municipality. The Village of Sunbury also owns its own system,
with two elevated tanks and a 800,000 gallon capacity.
The residents and businesses
outside of these two municipal areas receive their water
service from the Del-Co Water Company, Inc. This member-owned
water company has two lime softening treatment plants with
a 13 million gallons a day capacity. Water is stored in
21 elevated tanks located throughout the county. |
